•Enter your ID number

•An SMS / Text message containing the sassa banking details link will be sent to the mobile phone number used when registering for the SRD application.

•Open the banking details link in the SMS and follow the instructions.

If you select for the payment to go into a bank account, please make sure that you are the owner of the bank account. SASSA will not be able to pay your grant into another person’s bank account.

The operation was conducted to curb the number of crimes, including rape and robbery, that are mostly targeted at patrons leaving liquor outlets.

During the operation, the police found a number of expired foodstuffs and medications on the shelves of local shops. They confiscated the expired products to prevent locals from buying them. Additionally, the police found food that was ready for sale in a restaurant that was stored in a filthy refrigerator, and dirty water was allegedly used to prepare customers' meals. As a result, the police took action to prevent the sale of contaminated food.

With the assistance of the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator, the police arrested two suspects who were selling expired products without proper documentation. During the operation, the police encountered resistance from unruly patrons in Block A, who were throwing stones and bottles at them. Three members of the police sustained injuries, and one member was taken to a health facility for medical attention. Vehicles were also damaged by flying stones and bottles.

Despite the resistance, the police managed to complete their operation successfully. The police fined two suspects for illegally operating gambling machines in spaza shops, and five liquor outlets were fined for non-compliance. Additionally, the police closed down one shebeen and arrested the Assault GBH suspect. The operation was necessary to curb the number of crimes in the area, and the police will continue to monitor the situation to ensure the safety of residents.
